This multimedia illustration, punctuated a trip to Pittsburgh, where the artist photographed the moment on an overpass. The cherry blossom tree, central to the image, was masked out by the artist at the outset of the illustration process using a liquid rubber cement. This allowed the artist to maintain the detail of the focal point of the composition, while not having to be careful about working around the element. The illustration invokes of mood allowing the viewer to engage with the movement and story. Watercolor, Prismacolor pencils, & opaque paint.
